Hype On Sight

Consign your sneakers

Consignment is the main thing this shop does. The process is set up to be quick and transparent. Here's how it works, what we take, and what your payout looks like.

What we take

The shop's shelf standard is unworn or very lightly worn pairs. We're looking for sneakers that another buyer would want to wear or display, not pairs near the end of their life. The current sweet spot is:

We also take rarer pairs case-by-case. If you have something unusual, just bring it in or send a few photos by email first.

What we don't take

The split

The standard consignment split is 80/20 in your favour on most pairs. For pairs over $1,000 list price, the split is 85/15. For pairs under $150 list price, the split is 70/30 (the shop's costs of handling a pair don't scale with price). You see the exact split on the consignment agreement before any pair goes on the shelf, and there are no other fees.

If the pair sits unsold for more than 90 days, you have two options: lower the list price (you and the team agree on the new number), or pick the pair back up. There's no charge for either.

Payout

When a pair sells, you choose how you want the payout: direct deposit (usually within two business days), cash in-store (any day during mall hours), or store credit at a 10% bonus (so a $400 payout becomes $440 in credit toward another pair). Most regular consignors use store credit on the next round and direct deposit only occasionally.

What to bring

Walk in or email first

For one or two pairs, walk in during mall hours and the team will check them while you wait. For five or more pairs, email [email protected] first with a few photos so we can confirm the haul before you drive over. We don't want you to make the trip if half of it isn't a fit for the shelf.
